The Grit Mill and Climbing Master Plan Project Environmental Assessment and Draft Decision Notice
Big news for Salt Lake Climbers!!
The Forest Service Climbing Master Plan Project in Lower Little Cottonwood will set a precedent for better climbing access trails throughout the Wasatch and is something the SLCA has been working towards since it's inception in 2002.
The Grit Mill and Climbing Master Plan Project Environmental Assessment and Draft Decision Notice /Finding of No Significant Impact have been completed! The Draft proposes to authorize the removal of the Grit Mill structures, development of a parking area, climbing access trail development, and roadside parking management, near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon, on the Salt Lake Ranger District of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
