SLCA is Looking for a GIS Technician

The SLCA is looking for a GIS Technician to act as an Independent Contractor and support the advocacy and stewardship efforts of the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance.

GIS supports the SLCA’s mission to:

  • Survey existing climbing resources such as staging areas, parking, user trails, and other recreation infrastructure

  • Support ongoing stewardship projects, such as the Jacob’s Ladder Trail Realignment with mapping needs

  • Analyze impacts of external projects or development on climbing resources and access such as the Uinta Wasatch Cache Climbing Management Planning and UDOT’s Little Cottonwood Canyon Environmental Impact Statement process

  • Provide maps and data to communicate our work to stakeholders and project sponsors

  • Develop and maintain the SLCA’s Maps Collection
